Please help Breath of Fire Wiki by expanding it. But was hoping I'd see some improvements.Breath of Fire This section is a stub. Mind you, the video was more aimed towards N64 playability. Made absolutely no change in the slowdowns lol. Tried overclocking following this video's instructions. Guess I'll be looking into overclocking the pi and see if that makes any improvements xD Can confirm the ingame slowdowns do not happen. This really isn't that big of a deal but I'm in too deep now xD I might try it out on original hardware just to see. I watched a youtube video of someone navigating the town smoothly so I'm not sure if its vanilla hardware issues or pi issues lol. I turned on the retroarch's fps rate and it's showing an average of high 50s to 60 even in the sections where theres game slowdown. While in game you can bring up the retroarch quick menu then go to options, then go to PSX CPU Clock and change it from there.Īhhh, had the wrong fps counter. The default was set at 57 and I bumped it up to 70 and then the slowdowns went away. All I had to do was change the PSX CPU Clock speed in retroarch. Linking ihavegreatcraps's comment from below Any suggestions would be much appreciated! I'm currently trying to play the games off of a Raspberry Pi 3B on retropie using the lr-pcsx-reamrmed emulator. I'm sort of at a loss of what else to troubleshoot to get the game running more smoothly. Tried changing the file permissions to 0777 but to no avail. I have tried placing them in one by one and switching from lowercase to upper case on the file names but none of them seem to fix the slowdowns on Bof4. The BIOS files I'm using are psxonpsp660.bin, scph101.bin, scph7001.bin, scph5501.bin, scph1001.bin. I have the BIOS files placed in the \\RETROPIE\bios directory. I also don't believe these types of slowdowns were occurring on original hardware. Normally the FPS runs steady at 30fps but often times drops to 19fps in those scenarios. I seem to get the slowdowns when there are a lot of environment or buildings on screen. Hello, getting some frame droppage while playing Breath of Fire IV on lr-pcsx-reamrmed.
