I would not stay here again and would not recommend staying here.Hotel Indigo Dallas Downtown is a business-friendly hotel located in central Dallas, close to Majestic Theater, J. There is honestly just a general vibe that no one working there cares at all. During another day, I called down to request towels, and they never came up. This was not a disposable razor! I was honestly shocked. It actually did get made up, but- I am not exaggerating any of this- housekeeping took away the extra towels we had brought up to our room, left us with fewer amenities, and THREW AWAY MY RAZOR. Due to a miscommunication we were not aware of that- which is understandable, but when we called down to still request housekeeping services, the woman at the front desk was totally unsympathetic and said it was almost certain that no one would be able to make up our room. Currently, the policy is to specifically request housekeeping. I also felt that service was very lacking. The restaurant also seemed to have odd hours. The rooms are serviceable but small, and amenities are really lacking- they do not have shower gel, so we got one tiny shampoo and conditioner, and one bar soap for the entire room (I guess to share between the shower and our sink?). We heard a man in the room next door to ours hacking up phlegm all night, which was just disgusting. I can confirm what another commenter said- the walls are PAPER thin. Genuinely one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I have had in a while, which was so surprising to me because this is definitely billed as more of an upscale hotel. The location is ideal for easy walking to everything the area has to offer and there are some exceptional restaurants and bars nearby. With Coffee and Tea at the ready and a mini fridge you can't help feeling right at home. Although the rooms are modern and extremely relaxing, upon walking in you can't help feeling the dated warmth this wonderful old building has to offer. Although the separated business center off the lobby is very useful, I could imagine it being used as a lounge with live music to really bring that lobby alive like I have seen in other IHG properties. Lots of natural light makes this hotel lobby a comfortable and energetic place to sit, relax or converse. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the comfortable lobby and the openness of the very large dining room it was very well designed. Walking in the front doors, I always look forward to experiencing the uniqueness of each of these properties. One more thing: you can order a cappuccino, a good way to start the day More Show lessĪnother fantastic IHG property! This hotel is obviously quite old and still a very beautiful building. The table aside me had the waffles, those were bigger. This was – even for me being used to European standards – not that much food. The breakfast is cooked to order, I took the double egg option, that was served with 1 toast and a small fruit bowl. I booked including breakfast, and you get a coupon in that case. Something to be aware of: the kitchen closes early – my only choice left was a Cesar salad – and I had to negotiate a little to get it (9:45 PM). The decoration is typical Indigo style – read: with a big photo as wall paper, cozy interior. The bathroom has no bath, ‘only’ a shower, but that is perfectly fine for me. The rooms are very big, clean, with excellent bed. Apart from that: the hotel is really nice, located in an older building. I was surprised by this high level, opened google maps and found out there is a parking tower just aside the hotel. I made a reservation in this hotel, and received an email later stating parking is valet only and 38$.
